Introduction

Dylan Bailey was born in the small town of Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada on April 5, 1991. As a teenager, he played competitive sports and music, while maintaining honours with distinction and a French Immersion certificate. After graduation, he furthered his education by attending Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Psychology.

Post university, he worked in an office for almost two years but soon discovered that he didn’t enjoy a nine to five lifestyle. Therefore, he decided to travel the world for five months, exploring Indonesia, Australia, Vietnam, France and Scotland. Upon returning to Canada, he felt that is was the perfect time to follow a new career path. Having discovered on Facebook that an American production company was to film Stephen King's "The Mist" in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Dylan immediately created a profile, and applied for roles.

After signing up with the local casting company, Dylan immediately received several background roles which included CBC’s “Mr. D”, “This Hour Has 22 Minutes”, “Pure” and others. He then received three S.O.C. roles on Tourism Nova Scotia television commercials. After the newly discovered passion, Dylan was chosen as a continuity Background Performer on Stephen King’s “The Mist”. After several working days on “The Mist” as a Background Performer, it wasn’t until the final day of filming where Dylan was chosen to perform a Stunt that granted him his first film credit!

Dylan decided that he would love to become an Actra Apprentice to gain more acting opportunities. It wasn’t long before Dylan landed his first character role on an American television series produced by PopTV and Entertainment One titled “Let’s Get Physical”. Dylan played the role of “Chad R.”, who is a recurring character on the rival dance team named “Team Metrix”.  Following the success of his first character role, Dylan immediately landed another Actor role on a Feature Film named “Hopeless Romantic”.  At the very end of 2017, Dylan decided to move to Toronto, Ontario where he would seek new opportunities, gain experience, and take on new challenges.
